- Lose weight by making a regular exercise regimen, as obesity is closely related with diabetes.
- Make a new diet menu, include diabetes preventive foods such as green leafy vegetables, fresh fruit, and the colored variety of vegetables in to your new diet menu and eliminate simple carbohydrates such as pasta and white bread, whole grains, whole grain bread and legumes.
- Eliminate processed foods, sodas, candies, fast food, red meat from your diet menu.
- Try to avoid alcohol and salt, particularly if you have high blood pressure.
- Try to increase your daily physical activities.
